Forgot about the Encore, and just ordered one! YAHOO!!!!

The only 5200 cartridge that I know of is from Atarimax.

The older one has internal memory and holds 128 games......

....and the newer one uses an SD card, and appears to be the better option.....

I don't have a 5200, but my friend who does loves the SD edition. They seem to be the same price ($129).

hello!

I recently encountered a wild atari 2800 (cindy, japanese model).

can anyone on here confirm if it works with the harmony cart?

http://gaming.wikia.com/wiki/Atari_2800

it was apparently released in the US later on, as the "Sears Video Arcade II".

if anyone can shed any light, please let me know. I'm considering buying it but need more info.

(I messaged the author of the cart a couple of weeks ago, no replies).

also, if you have any info regarding how to get RGB out of this thing, please let me know.

(I emailed etim about this 2 weeks ago or so to ask if ti might work with his board, no replies yet).

thank you.

Given how rare the Japanese 2800 is, I can't help but assume it would hold value more if you kept it stock. Get a cheap 2600 for av modding. Japan is ntsc so I assume everything will work the same, unless they somehow tampered with the cart port (sms/sg-3000; nes/famicom; tg16/pce)

Hello @batari. I oredered and paid mine one week ago but no news from you nor confirmation. I sent you a PM here but not read. Could you please confirm all is ok ? Thanks

He hasn't logged in since November 3rd, 2017, nearly 5 months ago, so I wouldn't expect a reply any time soon. I hope he's okay though...

He's got a phone # on the order page, have you tried that?

I was about to order one myself but will hold off until I hear people aren't having issues.

I got my Harmony Encore quick, so if others are wondering if it's safe to order the answer is simply YES!

I got to play some Zippy on the encore yesterday, but was wondering if there are other Encore only games or demos?

Just ordered the Encore last saturday too and wondering the same..............

Got my Harmony Encore cart and spent the last two hours putting ROMs on an SD card for it...... and its broken! The SD card will not stay inside of it - it pops out everytime. Now out $73 and can not recommend this product!!

Did you even ask for a replacement before bashing the whole product this way?

BTW: Many people seem not to know how to remove a spring loaded MicroSD cart correctly. Instead of pushing, they pull the cart and easily break the tiny mechanics of the slot.

Countless other people never had any issues with the "click" mechanism even after years of daily use.

That said, if he broke it by yanking the SD card instead of pressing down, then it isn't a warranty issue, it's user negligence. Perhaps read the manual next time!

Protip: Most broken stuff can be jury-rigged to make it work again. Masking tape over the card end will keep it from ejecting.
