caveman
All your arcade ports are safe bets. Granted some are better than others- I personally don't care for Pole Position, and Asteroids could have been better (like psuedo vectors.) Ballblazer is great, also. Miqorz
For me it HAS to be Robotron fast paced arcade actions YEAH BABY!
Inky
Can't believe I never posted to this.. My fav is XEVIOUS followed by BALLBLAZER. I prefer the 7800 Xevious to even the arcade version!

Stein
I've only got 15 7800 games so far but the onles I like most include One on One Super Huey Xevious Dk Jr Galaga seems like ONE best game is hard to decide upon! ought to do a poll... Jumpman??? well if you're interested in jman you could visit a friend of mines site (I'm sure he'll think the few extra hits are cool ) http://members.iinet.net.au/~cleathley/jumpman/ he is working on a jman construction set of sorts called Jumpman Under Construction. marcfrick2112
Another Vote for Food Fight! When I finally got a working 7800, I got about 5 7800 games, I played Food Fight, almost uncontrolably, for several hours. Haven't done that for a long time... BallBlazer is my other #1... tyranthraxus
Wow I never thought I'd see Super Huey on a fav list The 7800 has a lot of good titles, in general the arcade ports are good bets. I've got about 35 of the games and while most are good there are only a few that I've found to be real perfection. Joust is #1 on my list. I love the game on the 7800, nice graphics & sound. Its very basic and quite addictive. Ms Pac man is a fantastic port with great arcade faithful sound and graphics. #2 and the only other game that is pefect IHMO. Commando is a must have but I don't like the grahpics too much. Galaga is super fun but its pretty easy compared to the arcade.
Gunstar
One top game is tuff. Ikari Warriors, Commando, Ballblazer and Tower toppler I think are the cream of the crop on the 7800.
kondre
Xevious would be my fav followed by joust choplifter is one of my fav's too eventhough its not the greatest port, its just fun.
ZylonBane
was 7800 food fight the first console game with instant replay??? If memory serves, One on One Basketball was the first with instant replay.
Agent X
Food Fight preceded One-on-One Basketball on the 7800. However, One-on-One did exist on several computer platforms before the 7800 system was even released.
ZylonBane
Both games are ports. Food Fight from the arcade, One on One from the Apple II. (goes and looks up some dates) Here are the various release dates: Food Fight (arcade): 1983 One on One (Apple): 1983 Food Fight (7800): 1987 One on One (7800): 1987 Woah. Umm... looks like this one is a tie!
Voch
I guess I'm the only one who likes 7800 Donkey Kong. I finally got a 7800 and a copy of the game and think that it's fun (except, of course, for the sound). Voch

GaryH917
The 7800 has many good games, very hard to pick one or two... Most played on my 7800: Klax Ikari Warriors Commando Alien Brigade Midnight Mutants Tank Command's graphic's aren't that great, but it's a very challenging game! Joey Kay
Hmmm... so many good games... so hard to decide. I'd vote for Food Fight, or even Dig Dug. Really, all the 1984 programmed arcade ports are winners. And I kinda like the ice cream scoop Asteroids... I think a vector version would have looked crumby in 1984... although cool to have today. Cheers! Joey
