mos6507 Posted March 17, 2014 Share Posted March 17, 2014 I never expected them to sell out, and if they did, I would have assumed they'd have saturated the limited market for such a device and it wouldn't have been necessary to issue more after. But if they really did sell out, I'd like to get a feeling for how many more people want them. As stated in other forums, the main cost is the speakjet chip. Last time (and it really has been a long while now) I was able to get a sweetheart bulk discount, but only by buying a rather large amount at once. I'm not in a financial position to tie up that overhead again, really. I also don't want to pass the buck on that overhead either. I took a loss once and that's all I can really justify. I could wire up boards without the speakchip and then we could gather a wait-list maybe. We just need to start seeing how many people are clamoring for it.
