Nintendo's new handheld...the 1DS!

Eh, no. Seems to me like trying to pair the touch screen with an unknown display device would cause way more problems than it would solve.

I'm not a phone-tard, so needless to say I'm not a fan of the idea of spending big bucks for a nintendo that attaches to a product I don't have, and don't think kids should be trusted with.

I definitely wouldn't be interested. If it's going to be 3DS compatible it needs 2 screens, no excuses!

The single screen version is what Nintendo should do as a smartphone. They would need to remove the analog disc though, because it wouldn't last a week riding in someone's pocket. Even the D-Pad would need to be recessed a bit to be more resillient to "transportation abuse". And of course, this smartphone would need to be a little smaller than what is shown in the picture.

Sorry. The big N has other plans. You're gonna get an underpowered Android stick for twice the retail price that only plays free to play games like Dungeon Keeper where removing a block of dirt takes 24 hours. It'll be called the TeDiouS.
