File incorrectly identified as a TI file

The attached file, map2.bin after unzipping, is incorrectly identified by TI99Dir as a TI file with a strange name, but it's just a raw binary file. I need to transfer it to a disk image as a INT/FIX 128 file, but when I try to do this using TI99Dir it says that the disk is full. Help!

If the disk image is small enough that adding the file will fit on the image but fragment the file, TI99Dir will refuse to do it, claiming, as you say, that the disk is full. I have found the only way to fill up the image in that way is to use @mizapf's TIimageTool.

Thank you, that's great (except that you have made the file DIS/FIX instead of INT/FIX so it doesn't work), but how did you do it? I will have to do this many times myself.

 

With TiImageTool I end up with the wrong file type (DIS/VAR 80 file or PROGRAM) no matter what I try.

You can import the file in TIImageTool using "Import Files", set the file filter to "all files", and then choose "Other format".

 

However, you actually can't, since that function seems broken, as I just found out. The resulting file has the wrong type when you use INT/FIX. It does work with DIS/FIX, though. Sorry, need to fix that.

If I change the first byte from >30 to >00 I can import it using Ti99Dir. Then I just need a hex editor on the TI side. Any suggestions?

Thank you. It turns out the shortcut on my desktop was pointing to the previous version of Ti99Dir (5.3b) which has this problem.
