Gabriel #1 Posted February 1, 2014 Nintendo, once I have registered my 3DS and then also gone through a separate step of registering for your stupid Club Nintendo BS, and then have linked said Club Nintendo account to the 3DS, and then have downloaded multiple games and demos without incident, it's freakin STUPID to force me to register to another Nintendo account to download a demo for a new game. It's bad enough you've gone the Sony route and have to do firmware updates every goddamn week. But that wasn't enough was it? You had to add another layer of crapulence. If your mission was to prevent people like me from giving a shit about games for your system, then mission accomplished. I guess it's just more money I can spend on Figmas or something. How much was that Chogokin battleship Andromeda?
NE146 #2 Posted February 1, 2014 Yeah I got confused too. But they do have a note there that your CLUB Nintendo ID is a totally different thing than your "NINTENDO ID". Whatever. I guess they are trying to get to a more stable model with the Nintendo ID thing. That said I had to register a new one for every single 3DS I own. Another stupid thing. cimerians #3 Posted February 1, 2014 I'm not sure how many times I've registered and entered passwords in the last month with them. Not just the 3DS mind you. I have you know, tonight I just about threw the Wii U gamepad across the room when it asked for a password to login to my kids account. If it didn't prompt me to optionally skip it in the future I would have been spending on a new gamepad.
Mendon #4 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) And Nintendo, PLEASE get TVii to actually work. I tried it with the Super Bowl last night and between the lag and lock-up's, it wasn't a pleasant experience. The little prediction game they had going on during the SB was really fun when I got it to work; sort of reminded me of playing 1 vs. 100 on the Xbox. But all too often, after taking part in 5 or 6 questions, the lag would hit and the gamepad would not respond to my input and I'd get a "You Timed Out" response or I'd be locked up and have to quit out of TVii and come back in. Nintendo, you know how many consoles you have sold in NA since the Wii U launch and there is really no excuse to not have adequate servers up and running for an event such as this, especially when you are promoting it! godslabrat #5 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) I really like TVii as a concept, but it has the feel of something Nintendo will develop halfway and just leave to rot (see also: e-reader, Nintendo News Channel). IMO, the best way to make it take off would be to partner with Logitech or URC... or even completely farm the project out to them.
