TwinChargers
A fellow coworker asked me the other day what console had the most add ons available for it? We both thought right away the Sega Genesis, which may be true with the Power Base Converter, Sega CD and 32X, but I'm not for certain. Is there any console that has more than three add ons or expansions for it?
+save2600
The TG-16 had quite a few... What made their system particularly cool or goofy depending on your point of view, is that the CD add on, is really just a portable CD player that sits in a dock that gets hooked to the system. Other than that, if you wanted to play with 2 or more players, you were forced to get their multi-tap, TurboTap they called it. Then there's the TurboBooster which adds A/V out, then the TurboBoosterPlus which had A/V out and added battery backup for some games. Then there was the 2.0 system card which beefed up usable RAM for some CD games and the arcade card which had even more RAM IIRC. I consider those peripheral add-ons as they're needed to play certain games. The Pioneer LaserActive had an array of adapters and expansions too of course. Tales from the Game Room
How about the one that started it all when it came to add-ons: THE COLECOVISION...!!! * ColecoVision Expansion Module 1: The Atari 2600 Adapter * ColecoVision Expansion Module 2: The Turbo Steering Wheel Controller * ColecoVision Expansion Module 3: The Adam Computer * Module 3 ProtoType: The module #3 was originally conceived to be the ColecoVision Super Game Module using game wafers as the storage medium. Although Coleco presented a mock-up of the SGM at the 1983 New York Toy Show, that product was never manufactured. There were also rumors that Expansion Module #3 was to have incorporated an RCA CED player to store larger amounts of data.
xDragonWarrior
I was gonna say the Turbografx-16/PC Engine but it only has 2 addons, the Turbografx-16 and Supergrafx(the rest are hardware variations). So I guess this title would have to go to the Pioneer LaserActive It has the: .Sega PAC (PAC-S1 / PAC-S10) .NEC PAC (PAC-N1 / PAC-N10) .Karaoke PAC (PAC-K1 / PAC-K10) ..Computer Interface PAC (PAC-PC1)

Austin
If these count, the Genesis also had the Sega Channel, the X Band, and while this might be stretching it, it also had things like the Activator (this huge ring-shaped sensor that sits on your floor).
