SpendTooMuchOnAtari #1 Posted February 6, 2014 Hello everyone! I've got a question about Asterix and this auction: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 231153100703 I'm wondering if it's possible that the game could work on a US system and TV but still be PAL? I know that doesn't sound right but I messaged the seller and they said that it was tested and works but they're not sure if it's NTSC or PAL. I know this is probably a silly question since it has a "P" on the end label but thought someone may know if some of them have a label error or other information. I thought Obelix was a pain to be sure about region but this one puzzles me. The other question I have is what's the approximate value of a PAL and NTSC Asterix - $150 seems high for PAL. Thanks guys! Jeremy
Zwackery #2 Posted February 7, 2014 Usually the P would mean PAL, but with Asterix I've heard of some switcheroos between NTSC and PAL versions. I've kept an old tv that absolutely will not display PAL games properly. Other than that, a ROM dump to look at the code? Caveat emptor.

karokoenig #4 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) That looks like a perfectly normal copy of PAL Asterix to me. Common in Europe/Germany. Worth a couple of Euros. Same goes for the other auction of Asterix that pops up as suggestion. The one wanting $199 and saying "Rarity 10". Bullshit.
