Andromeda Stardust #1 Posted February 17, 2014 Just some of the 2600 homebrew stuff I've been waiting for ages... The Byte Before Christmas Multicart Piniata Muticart StarCastle Arcade and some more games I forgot that were supposed to be released around Christmas? Albert said the Byte Before Christmas was not released due to a part sortage and would come out ASAP regardless of whether it was Christmas season or not. Piniata and Star Castle Arcade have been finished for a while, I believe. I'm also looking forward to Zippy and others. Any updates Albert? My wallet is waiting... dubxcube #2 Posted February 17, 2014 Quite a group coming out soon, besides the one that will come from Atari age, like those you mentioned, there's a couple outside releases too. Like "JumpVCS", "Brik", Desert bus 2600, etc...
+Gemintronic #3 Posted February 17, 2014 Seems like we have a few people all trying to make this game: ..I wouldn't know anything about that though.
enthusi #4 Posted February 17, 2014 Assembloids2600 is basically done \o/ Working on a booklet and box art right now. However, some info is missing from Albert (hint, hint :-)
Andromeda Stardust #5 Posted February 17, 2014 Quite a group coming out soon, besides the one that will come from Atari age, like those you mentioned, there's a couple outside releases too. Like "JumpVCS", "Brik", Desert bus 2600, etc... And the excellent self-published "Endless Snow" last Christmas. Nice humorous box to boot. I'm not really that interested in Desert Bus however. It's only good if you're a gaming masochist or solely a collector. Jump does sound cool though. I'm not familiar with Brik. I know Albert is practically a one man team but it's hard to wait for stuff, especially with a two year delay on Byte Before Christmas. Piniata and Star Castle may be available as ROMs playable on Harmony, but there's something about owning the actual cart that brings so much joy.
Necron99 #6 Posted February 17, 2014 Strangeland is almost sold out of pre-orders. also a few not mentioned yet Stay Frosty 2 Space Raid Circus Atariage Panky the Panda (This one stalled, but I'm still waiting patiently)
+Nathan Strum #7 Posted March 13, 2014 Omicron should be on the list as well. The delay with Stay Frosty 2 and Star Castle Arcade (and possibly others) is due to a shortage of Melody boards. I've heard no update in months as to an ETA for them.
+Gemintronic #8 Posted March 13, 2014 Are we just talking about cart only releases? I've got less than a few days to release this: Atarowg http://7drl.org/author/theloon/

+atari2600land #13 Posted March 13, 2014 Explosive Diarrhea for the 2600 should be out later this year, as well.
+Nathan Strum #14 Posted March 13, 2014 Explosive Diarrhea for the 2600 should be out later this year, as well. Seems to me it would be pretty difficult for that one to be kept in.
Mr SQL #15 Posted March 13, 2014 KC Munchkin Monster Maze just came out This game was developed on 1982 hardware using retro coding techniques. Visual effects like this blue 3D wall shadowing are done with pure artifacting: The blue 3D wall you see above is not real; artifact colours are pulled straight from the ether; to unleash this magic you must possess the proper talisman such as an antique tube Television. Here is the KC Dream Video showing the retro fun on 1982 hardware!
AtariLeaf #16 Posted March 14, 2014 Circus Atariage is the one I'm most looking forward to. After Space Rocks, this is my other "must have" since Circus Atari IS my favorite 2600 game. Anyone know if this will be a boxed release when it's done?
Andromeda Stardust #17 Posted March 14, 2014 Yes, I forgot to add Circus AtariAge when I posted the thread initially. I have played the CGC/Portland/whatever demo on my Harmony and it was awesome. No problems whatsoever with my custom made arcade joystick (with built in 470k paddles), and my fiance loved the little red "splat" effect when the acrobats misded the platform. Albert, I got a question for you: I kinda doubt you'll do it, but I've got two "melody upgrade" carts with old romhacks burned on them (Pacman Arcade and Indy 500 XE) that are begging for new content. If the games are ready but you just lack the hardware, can I send in my old game carts and get them reflashed with a shiny new label? I'd love me some StarCastle or Stay Frosty 2! ;D
