dubxcube #1 Posted February 25, 2014 I've tried several ways of hooking up my Vader to my modern TVs, and the best I can get is a beautiful picture with no sound out of my LCD thru the coax. I have no interest in buying a VCR and cluttering up the entertainment system, nor would my wife like that. So... It's time to upgrade. Can anyone direct me to the best place to have my Atari modded for composite sound and video? Or a place that I can trade for an already modded one and pay the difference. Thanks in advance! godzillajoe #3 Posted February 25, 2014 Is it possible the Vader is somehow defective? The $3 converter doo-dad has never failed me on any of my 3 LCD TVs. Might be cheaper to get a new system than to have it modded. Of course all my TV's are LG brand so maybe that makes a difference too.
dubxcube #4 Posted February 25, 2014 I don't think so, godzillajoe. When I hook it up the same way in my plasma, I get a lot of rolling and static popping noises, and not a clear picture, but there is sound. But, like I said, I'm not opposed to just buying a previously modded system straight out and using this one for either trade-in value, or sell it outright. (I have no desire to have more than one atari in the house... For now)
Lynxpro #5 Posted February 26, 2014 Not all LCDs can properly display - or output audio - from classic consoles.
