Intellivision Tech question

Has anyone ever had a Intellivision do this? When i first turn it on and put in baseball it is messing up I pitch the ball then the batter appears where the shortstop is and just stands there with the bat in his hand. on skiing my skier disappears on the way down the hill and some of the trees are messed up. Then once the game warms up it plays like a million bucks. any guesses what chip is bad? Thanks Mark

9 of 10 times when its about glitches it seems to be the RAM, but then its usually the other way around..messing up when the game is warmed up

Could be any of the chips, really, or the power supply.

+1, sounds like RAM chip heat issue, possibly on the way out. Very common fault, RAM causes weird issues like that. I had a system with problematic RAM, and with Baseball, the game would start, the fielders would run onto the field, then keep running and running against the top of the screen.

 

It would be worth cleaning the IC sockets and reseating them and see if that helps.
