IntellivisionDude #1 Posted March 7, 2014 I need me a capture card so i can do some live streaming of Intellivision games on Twitch. I bought a cheapy one called "EZGrabber2" that someone recommended but it ended up being buggy and wouldn't display Intellivision correctly. I don't want to spend a lot of money but i might have to. Any recomondations? Dazzle? EZ Cap? or do i have to go more expensive? I will be attempting to hook it through my VCR and then hook that up to the capture card. +intvsteve #2 Posted March 7, 2014 Hmm... I have an ancient K-World TV Terminator that I've used. It's in my xp box. I wonder if the newer ones may be dropping analog signal support.
Austin #3 Posted March 7, 2014 I have one of these: http://www.ionaudio.com/products/details/video-2-pc It works pretty well. $50, but used ones tend to be much cheaper. I've been using mine for four years now (just about), and it's still going strong.
zander21510 #4 Posted March 8, 2014 i have a USB Pinnacle TV 800e or something like that, it works pretty well and has the tuner so you can plug the intellivision straight in...assumeing you don't have the a/v mod

Austin #6 Posted March 8, 2014 Do you know for sure it will work with the Intellivision? I don't see why it wouldn't. It's not the Intellivision's signal that's going to the capture card by that point, it's the converted signal from the VCR. I am assuming your VCR has Composite Out? IntellivisionDude #7 Posted March 8, 2014 There's nothing special about the Intellivision if you are running it through a VCR. What you will need to care about is the VCR's Composite Out connection, which the capture card will work with fine. That is, assuming your VCR has that (it should.. and if it doesn't, get a different VCR, will make life a lot easier). Thanks, i ordered one off of Ebay just earlier today for $20. My VCR does have Composite Out (Yellow, Red & White). The cheap capture device i bought could capture the VCR just fine but Intellivision quality was terrible. Graphics were all pixelated and most of the color was missing. But i returned that today as well.

I haven't recorded Intellivision, but I have done the VCS through the box (going through a VCR first of course, since my system isn't A/V modded). This is what it turned out like. I would assume as long as the connection is solid from the Intellivision to the VCR, you should be fine. If you have any other issues, the VCR could be the culprit. But, let us know how the new capture box works out for you.

They both seem to capture correctly except for some jitter i can't seem to get rid of yet. It captures the VCR itself playing a tape without any jitter but there is just jitter when capturing the systems. At first i thought it was the VCR itself and that didn't fix it. Then i thought it was maybe the AV cord coming out from the VCR or the Coaxial/RF cord i am using for the systems. But i tried different ones of those as well. Not sure what to try next. The jitter is not the end of the world but it is not easy on the eyes either.
IntellivisionDude #11 Posted March 12, 2014 I also tried the Sega Genesis using the same coaxial cord and there was no jitter. So maybe it's not the cords? hmm There doesn't seem to be any anti jitter settings or nothing i found yet.
JasonlikesINTV #13 Posted March 13, 2014 Nice game choice. It looks jittery. You should send that defective game to Jason

I've yet to try recording my Intellivision. If I do in the near future, I will post my experiences here.
