where does it say anything about loading JagCD images from the skunkboard? im just skimming so maybe I missed it.

anyway interested to know more about what's up with these skunkboards, any new features like save capabilities being added? what capacity is it? I know, question's that've already been asked :P

still got my skunkboard revision 1, will likely be interested in this new revision especially if they've been improved in some way.

regardless, great news for everyone whose been waiting, the skunkboards have benefited the community imo and it's good to see them getting around to everyone who wants one.

Skunks are for cartridge images, not CDs. They can be used to "save games" via the console, but it's doubtful end users would really be up for that to be worthwhile.

Skunks improved with revisions; vs your original there are 2 banks of flash (or one larger one) and it's protected against surges (avoid what happened to Clu when both his older skunks fried).

Ok, not used one before - had a skim over the PDF manual on the site and it's quite long. Are these things easy to use? I take it I flash one game/demo to the board at a time using software supplied? Do I just need a regular USB cable male to male?

Cheers.

Could not be easier. There's even a GUI for the tool for anyone who has a fear of typing beyond forum posts  You can flash two ROMS, one to each bank. They will run the first time you flash them. Then (with regular bios) you just press up or down on the joypad to load bank 1 or 2 when you switch on your Jaguar the next time and get the friendly green screen. I use a modified bios that is rotary-friendly and uses C and A instead, but you don't need to worry about that.

And yes, just a regular usb to mini USB cable.

Super simple and probably the only must-have jaguar item out there.

will this be in a new colour?

will this be based on the revision 3?

may be a good idea to do away with the two usb-a ports each side along with the jtag header, that way it can be put in a cartridge if so wished.

i may take one funds allowing
