Christoph #1 Posted March 12, 2014 NES. FAMICOM. RGB: VIDEOPHILE. HI-FI: AUDIOPHILE. FOUR PLAYERS. NO EMULATION. The Analogue Nt opens a door to the highest quality way to experience the NES and Famicom. It is designed around the heart and brain of the original NES. We've completely reengineered the original NES while remaining true to the original hardware. This means you’ll be experiencing the NES with the hardware it was designed to be played with. No emulation. The Analogue Nt is precision fabricated from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum. Engineered with an uncompromising attitude to quality. There has never been another video game system like it. I know there will be a lot of questions and I cannot wait to share every single detail with everyone. There are features and details that are going to blow everyone away. I promise we won’t disappoint. I'll be unveiling all the fine details and taking orders at the end of March. http://www.analogueinteractive.com
atari2atari #2 Posted March 12, 2014 Can't wait to see it, Christoph - - you guys turn out some very high-quality products! I will be very interested in the details of re-engineering the NES hardware from the ground up, too. Fascinating! Four player without an adapter, as well, nice touch. Any matching Analogue Arcade Stick controllers planned for it, or some sort of special matching controllers for the console (inspired aluminum versions of the small originals)? An aluminum "NES Advantage" would be nifty (and make a great blunt weapon in a pinch!).

+Razzie.P #4 Posted March 12, 2014 Looks pretty sweet. You may already know this, but IGN posted an article about this today and it has sparked a bit of discussion. Looking forward to some details.
Rex Dart #5 Posted March 12, 2014 The FDS disks in the photo suggest that it's compatible with the FDS. Is this correct?

Christoph #8 Posted March 31, 2014 Analogue Nt: Anodized Color Options We've been working hard to make anodized colors available with our planned release at the end of March. We wanted to keep this a surprise for launch, but our unrelenting quest for perfection has created a short setback. We'll be fully unveiling the Analogue Nt in April with a selection of beautiful anodized color options. It's important to us that all of our wonderful options are available to you upon release. We're thrilled with everyone's excitement and we can't wait to bring something great to you. As always: delays are temporary; mediocrity is forever. P.S. Here are a few small details to hold you over: - compatible with all region titles (NTSC / PAL / Famicom) - compatible with the Famicom Disk System - switchable between stereo and mono

AtariFriend #10 Posted April 1, 2014 The breaking point is the price of the unit How much is it? I hope it's not a $500 NES.

PeculiarSatyr #12 Posted April 1, 2014 How much is it? I hope it's not a $500 NES. With a machined pretty metal shell....I'm assuming the price point will be around there if not higher. If it has high quality guts I'd assume a lot of people would pay it.
Austin #13 Posted April 3, 2014 If it has high quality guts I'd assume a lot of people would pay it. I doubt it.. It works for their Neo-Geo line because those consoles are already expensive to obtain. What's another couple hundred dollars then? For the NES, anyone in their right mind can go snag one for $50 or less, so I highly doubt a $500 unit will fly with "a lot of people". I'm crossing my fingers that it's cheaper. $100 or $200 at most. Anything higher pushes it into "I could buy a XRGB Mini instead... and that works with more than one system". Blazing Lazers #17 Posted May 5, 2014 Full 1080p HDMI NES with 4 controller ports and slots for both Famicom and NES carts with full Powerpack and Everdrive compatibility and the same sort of craftsmanship quality found in the Neo Geo CMVS's they make? This is gonna sell out really quickly, even at $500 plus...
Kida0723 #18 Posted May 5, 2014 I'm not paying $500 for a Nintendo. I'm out.
Ataridroid #19 Posted May 6, 2014 I'm not paying $500 for a Nintendo. I'm out. Why not? Just go for the $29 NES "refurbished" controller.
fdurso224 #20 Posted May 6, 2014 Hi guys, It looks nice. But seeing that I have working/playable NES, Famicom, and the disk system at home, I'll just keep the $499 in my account! Anthony...
soviet conscript #21 Posted May 6, 2014 I just dont really see the point. To be honest its kind of generic looking and for the price you can have an rgb nodded top loader. It just seems casual gamers would rather emulate for free on a PC or buy a cheap nes clone from china for $20 and not care about some incompatabilities. Hardcore gamers I would think would just want a origional system and just mod it, especially now that there's a cheaper and less complicated rgb solution. cimerians #22 Posted May 6, 2014 I just saw the pricetag...must be insane. I'm definitely out and I have better stuff to spend the money on. Maybe someone should make an aluminum Atari 2600 and sell it.

PsychedelicShaman #24 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) I'm a much bigger fan of these than the Black Label Neo geo MVS. There are at least significant improvements over a regular NES, not even considering audio/video. It pretty much has all of its bases covered, Famicom expansion compatibility is pretty nice. Sure $500 isn't the cheapest, but I'm not sure what more you could ask for with an NES. Looking forward to reviews and incompatibility lists. Christoph, is there a way to disassemble it in case we muck up the 72-pin? Just curious, are you planning to make more Neo Geos after the initial runs of the Nt?
