My first steps into making Intv GFXs

I added the HUD

I really enjoy working with INtv limitations

Personally, I'm not sure you'd need a HUD. If the game has an inventory style screen you could put the score, lives etc on that. You'd also need to manually mask the player's avatar as he climbs up/down the ladder, through the HUD. You can underlay a black MOB at a higher priority than the player or pre-clip the player's avatar graphics to get around that.
