am1933 #2 Posted March 14, 2014 I live on the wrong side of the Atlantic to collect stuff at a reasonable price for my favoured machine.

SoulBlazer #4 Posted March 15, 2014 You're reminded just how nice it is to load a game in 15 seconds or surf a website in 5.
Omega-TI #5 Posted March 15, 2014 I've spent more on this old equipment than I have on my new state-of-the-art system.
Dripfree #6 Posted March 15, 2014 I see stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v7cFGneuaw and wonder WHY it cannot be done on mine. I love how it looks on there. The bright colors and pixelated textures look like Andy Warhal to me.
jaybird3rd #7 Posted March 16, 2014 My Classic Computer Drives Me NUTZ because...... it never pesters me! I've become so conditioned by modern Windows computers that, if I'm not always being forced to check for updates, scan for viruses, upgrade my plugins, reboot, clean the registry, defrag the hard disk, delete temporary files, troubleshoot some errant process that's eating the computer alive from the inside, or some other maintenance task that somehow always pops up and bothers me while I'm working, it's very disorienting. Put me in front of a classic computer that does one thing at a time, that does it well, and that never interrupts me, and suddenly I can't remember what I'm looking at, what I'm doing, or even who I am anymore. I start getting fidgety within five minutes, because somehow, I just need to check for updates!!!
eightbit #8 Posted March 18, 2014 My classic computer(s) drive me NUTZ because... I can no longer find them in the wild or find spare parts/components for them for reasonable prices (usually) because the "trend" lately is the belief that these are made of gold and will make you rich beyond your wildest imagination!
The Usotsuki #9 Posted March 18, 2014 I was lucky to find a nearly working 5160 a couple years ago but it had a CPU upgrade board.
