roadrunner #1 Posted March 15, 2014 How rare is one of these Roc N Rope games with a black and white label? The label is bilingual, there's another label underneath it.I don't see this version listed in the AA or atarimania database.

I don't see this version listed in the AA or atarimania database. Coleco games (Atari, Intv, CV) were sold with a replacement bilingual label in Quebec (Canada) These were made first for the french Canadian market These are definitely rarer than colored ones , as for the true rarity for Atari (I'm more a CV guy) ... I could not tell
Rom Hunter #3 Posted March 16, 2014 That sticker belongs to this one: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-roc--n-rope_21836.html It came included in the box. Could you make a scan of that cart?
roadrunner #4 Posted March 16, 2014 Thanks for the info guys. I'm not sure about a cart scan since there's no watermarks on the cart scans at AA or atarimania.I'm worried about people making fakes.

I'm worried about people making fakes. The same label exist for the ColecoVision release, so I think if someone really want to reproduce your label , he would only need the CV version and just doing some touch up I would not worry too much to scan your cart if you ask me Here's the CV version

Rom Hunter #7 Posted March 16, 2014 Thanks for the info guys. I'm not sure about a cart scan since there's no watermarks on the cart scans at AA or atarimania. I'm worried about people making fakes. Trust me: this one won't be faked.
roadrunner #8 Posted March 16, 2014 Why are you worried about people making fakes? There's a few resellers and other sleazeballs like carissabunny selling games with reprinted labels. I'm very fussy about this. I strongly believe all the cart scans here at AA and atarimania should have watermark logos on them.
roadrunner #9 Posted March 16, 2014 Trust me: this one won't be faked. I could scan it and send it to you in a PM but you have to put a watermark logo on it.

I own many of these English/French labels (they are very common in Canada!) and I can tell you the value is about $5. I don't think it's really worth faking...
