It's really mostly used to save your game position so you can continue at another time. So League Bowling like almost all Neo Geo games does not save high scores on the card. (No games save high scores on the cartridge). As far as I remember there's only maybe 2 or 3 games that actually save high scores on the memory card. If you have a MVS system it saves high scores along with the game settings. It has some storage to do that, So it's definitely a feature of the Neo SD Pro. On a real AES the latest UNIBIOS saves high scores. Always tend to roll my eyes ? at quotes such as "One of, if not THE, most expensive console ever made when adjusted for inflation." There is quite a lot of exchangeable Arcade system in the 80's and 90's that was worth more then people's cars that was somewhat converted to hook up to a TV. This is one reason a lot of Neo Geo treads go nuclear as the AES and its attempt to go affordable with the Neo Geo CD wasn't that far off when you compare it with related systems built by Fujitsu, Namco, Taito , and Capcom.
