Hey Parallax,

 

Nice article with the comparison of R-Type II and Last Resort. Were always amazed to to be reminded that some of the developers at irem were also responsable for making Last Resort. Thank you for taking the time to show us this retro piece that you provided.

Back again with Njenkin (Nick) doing what he does best. This morning, were going to se him talk about Ikari Warriors fot the Amiga.

 

From the description,

Thank you fdurso for the information a few posts back, glad to hear there are more games in the works. Ikari Warriors / Shock Troopers are awesome SNK games, so would love to see another game released like them. I might have to start a savings to drop change in so I can be ready whenever NG:Dev or Neobitz announces their new titles for sale. = ) hehe

This morning, were with a gamer by the name of, Atari Fitness. Here, were going to see the kind sir playing Metal Slug 1st Mission for the NGPC. Pretty good video I must say. :)

 

From the description,

Yeah, its exciting times to see that new games are being made for the MVS and AES. NGDEVTEAM and Neobitz are hard at work pleasing the community with new games and worth every dollar spent on them.

 

As I recall, NGDEVTEAM mention that they were developing new hardware for the arcades. Not much has been mentioned since, but if that's the case. I hope it will help the troublesome arcades soon.

Well, today's a pretty good day. I low-balled a Samurai Shodown V (more properly Samurai Spirits Zero) on eBay and won the thing for $72 w/ shockbox. I love MVS prices.

 

I know SSV isn't the most loved in the Shodown line by a long shot, but based on how few of these I see, I figured it'd go for at least $100.

Maybe part of the reason is that there were internal pics of the boards, to prove them legitimate, but SSV has a little weirdness on it that kind of makes it look like a bootleg. Still the shots from the auction below match the mvs-scans image as being legit.

 

Or maybe I'm just greatly mistaken and SSV always goes around this price.

Even with MVS prices going up in price, you were able to secure a great deal on a Samurai Shodown V. I wish I can have this much luck in collecting, but I always losing it to others lately. :)
