Today retro game enthusiasts and online seller of all things awesome, Stone Age Gamer, announced a collaboration with Neo Geo flash cart maker TerraOnion to distribute the NeoSD, a line of flashcarts for the Neo Geo AES home console and MVS arcade system. The NeoSD should be available to preorder from Stone Age Gamer as early as next month. Take a look at the the NeoSD boards in the image below: Similar to their collaboration with Krikzz, the maker of Everdrive flash carts, Stone Age Gamer plans to work with TerraOnion and offer Gamer’s Deluxe Edition versions of the cartridge, as well as Custom Editions of the Neo SD. These editions usually include a clamshell case to keep the cart protected as well as several different shell colors to choose from. When asked about pricing, Stone Age Gamer answered, “No finalized pricing, but it’ll be inline with TerraOnline’s pricing”, which is $418 for the AES cart and $397 for the MVS . Those prices are for the boards only and do not include the plastic case to house the PCBs in. I'm a single slot MVS user, so I don't have much direct experience with these, but as I understand it, the adapter allows people with multi-slot MVS cabinets to play standard JAMMA arcade boards. Single slot mvs cabinets are already pretty much JAMMA compatible already, but the multi slots have their sound wired up funny, which is really bad for standard JAMMA boards. So if I understand your question, it does not. One would be disconnecting the MVS system board from the cabinet when using this.
