Sure you could get the stuff on a phone or tablet, but then you have to lug a bluetooth controller around and screw around with various other things. NGX you just toss the ROMs on that micro-sd card once, throw that in the NGX adapter SD card device, and just go for it off the SD card menu built into the hardware.
