Yeah agree thats an awesome price Ant, you should of asked him to put it by.

 

Unfortunately, he was the "first come, first serve" mentally seller. Even though I really wanted it, the owner was a true definition of a snob and with an outrageous ego. Similar to The Comic Book Guy on The Simpsons. When I went and said I'll be right back to get the money, he just shrugged his shoulders and went back reading his magazine. When I came back, it was gone.

 

Guys like that I rather not give my hard earn cash to those that don't take customers likely and have an attitude that is enough to go elsewhere.

Just won myself a 3 count bout auction. Yay for filling collection checklist holes. 67 left to go.

The pre-match stuff in the game looks fun...and then it seems to turn into button mashing.

 

 

 

Aah, Superb choice Reaper. 3 Count Bout is my favorite sports title for the Neo-Geo. Game was really a royal pain to beat at the time growing up. But did plenty of high risk maneuvers and crash running into the opponents to weaken them to win the matches to become SWF Heavyweight Champion Love the barbwire baseball bat and the hapless bystander you pick up to throw at the CPU player. :-D :-D

Hi guys,

 

Back with Developers 7Blackjack8. Here we see them back in action with their homebrew game, "Neo Thunder X" being developed now on actual hardware using a 6 slot MVS board.

 

For our new members that are interested, Neo Thunder X is a game being developed by a small group from Italy that was introduced almost three years ago. Slowly, but surely the team is making progress. Now that the game is on official SNK boards, its a quantum leap forward for the team to continue onward for them for stage development. Enjoy. :)

 

From the description,

"Short clip about my real SNK's hardware test.
Here I show on a proper consolized 6-slot Mvs that the game is recognized as a regular one by the system and jumps to it after the previous game demo-mode.
Soon I will finally show the real game!!

How is the maintenance on bean sticks, as ebay seem to full of ones in poor shape?

 

 

 

IMO, it's not worth the cost, but I'd still love to have one some day, for the right price. The Hori's buttons do have a more arcade-like switch compared to snk's button contacts, which more resemble the gamepads of their day. It's an upgrade, but not $100 of an upgrade to me.

 

 

 

That link cable is on my 'want list" MJ. It's kind of expensive and would like to have it despite its price. So I would mind putting in a few extra dollars (pounds) for it just to have it.

Enoof - My bean sticks have never given me any-robs at all and the one boxed one I use I daily has lasted 20+ years and Is as good noe as It was when I got it!

 

Reeperman - Yeah the MAS sticks are awesome and somebody told me there like home made, a man in a garage type of thing buy the quality is second to none! HORI Ive always really liked the pads and sticks Ive got of theres are great especially the CvS DreamCast pads there awesome! I was told the Neo HORI stick was complete metal how true that is Im not sure but like you I defiantly want one for my collection but the price keeps me away! :(

 

Ant - The cable isn't that great mate, hardly dose anything and the price people want for it is madness!!

Anthony, I have an 161 in 1 MVS cart headed my way, what MVS to AES converter works best? will the Neo Geo super MVS converter II work? or do I need something like the Daedalus.

Updated my NGPC collection. I made this screwball offer on ebay less than a week ago for Biomotor Unitron, ended up paying $46 for a CIB copy when the loose ones get $50. Obviously I was pleased with that outcome. :D I remember the parts being something worth reading that manual over anyway but I'm not going CIB on this, never. I'm pretty much thinking once Baseball Stars is found for $20 I'm done outside of using my nice kit as the rest is expensive or I just don't care enough.

Hey Darrin,

 

I personally would recommend the MagicKey converter. Daedalus will work of course, but I really don't support the maker of it. It's by David Garrett and he really angered many in the Neo-Geo community as being a false SNK employee...and a lot of other things like selling counterfeit games like an Aero Fighters 3 for $30,000 that was false.

And with that RetroHQ in the baggie really makes it standout for sure. Nick work as always! Biomotor Unitron is in my collection as well boxed. Its one of my better purchases for the NGPC throughout the years. :)

I really need to get a UNIBIOS, and it's just paranoia that 100% would have been misplaced a year ago, but I feared he'd outdate it shortly after I got it. There had been updates coming down at the time more frequently and discussion on this forum about updates/fixes for whenever the next came. Kind of wish he hadn't said crap, would have just bought it worry free.

 

I'd like to just be capable to go into the neat tweaks, full saving of anything on my neosavemasta, and the cheats could be fun to meddle with in a few titles to see how they affect things. Also AES mode would be fun, can't quarter plug when on those things.

I've been curious to try that one but the kanji looks like it would be a problem. Really wish there were some usable translation hacks for that system.

 

I really should take the tools that wyndcrosser was doing for a few things on NGPC and see if I can figure them out. If I could get a script of all text dropped from some NGPC games I think I could do some translation at some level, at the least menus and things. Story would be more of a challenge as I'm super rusty.
