Hahaha. I thought i was the only one that use to draw Neo-Geo related sketches and art. Nice Ter. I think i have a few saved somewhere in my parents closet of our elementary school works. I drew Viewpoint, Ghost Pilots, Magician Lord, Burning Fight, and The Super Spy. 

 

Aaaah, I miss those time for sure bro.

I loved drawing back then, even though I was terrible at it lol. And in case you couldn't tell, it was the end boss in my 1990 Christmas present, Ninja Combat. Mutilated hand and all.

I'm wondering how the controls will be on the Neo Geo. It's a twin stick shooter on Genesis/MD that uses ABXY for 8-way shooting, C for rolling and Z for grenades. Neo Geo doesn't have that many buttons, so I am guessing it will use the Genesis 3 button configuration. Still one button left over. Neo Geo version has 16 times more mega power than the Genesis version, so maybe they will find something for that extra button to do! Probably no 8-way shooting, unfortunately.

I was thinking maybe they will try to make use on two buttons simultaneously Steve? Yeah, seeing that the buttons are limited on the Neo-Geo, I think the possibility on pressing two at the same time might make up for the disadvantage that the controller has. I think that was talked about ones with the developers.

Nice choice on playing League Bowling. One of my favorite sports titles for the unit. Plenty of our members love the game as well. SNK really made a gem and glad newcomers are having a blast with it. I played many hours in the arcade with that game and it's never a dull moment. I love the reactions from the player when you hit a strike or when the bowling ball  is about to make in impact. Wish I can go back in time when it debuted to relive those awesome 90's moments. 

 

Nice that you're enjoying the brawlers as well....   Burning Fight, Robo Army, Mutation Nation, King of the Monsters 2, Eight-Man. Sengoku series....Man! The list goes on. If you ever like to make a video of you in action playing them. We would love to see it. We welcome videos and members in the community to share there works for others to benefit from. So feel free to do so bro.

Thank you so much for rolling out the red carpet for me Anthony.  I very much appreciate it.  Definitely I will try and keep track of this thread as much as I can as I explore a lot of Neo Geo titles.  Needless to say this platform has really touched me more so than any other classic system thus far apart from the ones I grew up with (NES, Genesis, TurboGrafx-16).  Also, I am hopeful to continue to hear more developments with SNK and hope they can get back being a more active publisher and bringing some updated titles to modern platforms, or even doing something themselves if possible apart from what they are already doing.  In the meantime, take care and I will try and produce some videos or two if/when possible.

That video has got me thinking of when I used to go to the mall in the very early 90's to play the Neo-Geo games that I didn't have. I used to bring my memory card all the time, and the manager looked at me like I was crazy. So I explained to him what it was, and he said something like "Now I've seen it all" lol! Believe it or not, I still have the arcade games saved on the card that I have never owned, like Top Players Golf.

 

Has anyone else here ever brought their memory card to an arcade? I can imagine accidentally leaving it behind. That would have been traumatizing! 😰
