Hah yeah funny timing.  That is strange seeing that as the board is intended to have 2 and the memory card slot as well.  Lucky you man, you can make unibios4 chips?!  I can't do this, never was capable at the time of ordering one when raz sold them, and then one day he pulled the plug.  I thought the changes to it, on top of the pick n mix setup for the 161 was genius, basically a MVS within an MVS singling out all those unique games +the svc chaos title while isolating the ghetto stuff.

Well, I paid for four licensed copies and still have 3 but I burned him a Free Edition since they are the same now.

The files are freely available on the UniBIOS site and any programmer that supports a DIP40 27C1024 should be able to do it (I'm using a miniPro TL866). I still have several M27C1024 EPROMs if you'd like me to burn you one at-cost. Your board should already be socketed for it to drop right in!

I bought mine just before Pick'n'Mix landed and I didn't have a 161-in-1 even after I upgraded my UniBIOS so yesterday was when I finally got to play around with Pick'n'Mix for the first time... a couple minutes when getting him set up.

It wasn't obvious how to do it. There is no Select button on a single-slot cabinet but thankfully this cab was made for a 6-slot. I think we had to hold Select at boot and then it cycles through with the Select button. If you hold Select you get an in-game menu for picking another game. Worked pretty well. I think holding Start at boot lets you switch the P'n'M functions to Start instead.

This looks interesting. I might actually consider getting the limited edition for this one. I spent all of my cash for fun stuff this month already, though, so I will probably not, especially since I'd prefer to use the Neo Geo CD controller instead of the PS4 controller. Still, I'll consider it.

 

Edit: checked the price of the limited edition and it's $59.99. I was expecting it to be the typical $150 or so. I think I'll get it because why the hell not. I wonder if it runs on emulation or if they ported it to the PS4. I'm guessing emulation.

You're welcome Sir Lais. Glad you're enjoying it. That particular NGPC is the limited edition Hanshin Tigers. A professional Baseball team that is location in Hyogo, Japan. The team still exist to this day.

I was thinking of pre-ordering this myself Steve. I do like the products from Limited Games and it's not a bad price at all. Personally, I never owned any of their products before, so I'm guessing that it's on emulation as well. Maybe a member here that has previous SNK games from them could help answer that question.
