InfraMan #26 Posted April 5, 2014 Here is a proper video: Oh yeah, that looks much better! I've always had a soft spot for the GB version, it's not a bad little game at all.
Pixelboy #27 Posted April 5, 2014 metal gear is on msx 2 i think msx 2 game can be ported to the colecovision ??? Sure, if you downgrade the graphics. But in Metal Gear's case, it may not be the best idea. See the mockup I did below to compare. The CV version would be playable, but not all that pretty... The MSX2's color depth actually contribute to give the game a certain atmosphere, which I think is a little lost with the CV's limited 16-color palette.

+opcode #30 Posted April 5, 2014 And who is going to convert 1Mbit worth of graphics? Not to mention that the MSX2 has more scanlines, 20 more to be precise.

I admit I would highly prefer Castlevania over Metal Gear Edited April 5, 2014 by retroillucid
+Tarzilla #32 Posted April 5, 2014 Here is a proper video: Yep, that's more like it. I was a little confused by the vines as I had screens shots of that game on my hard drive that I took myself years ago with some emulator.

And you can do the same game with totally renewed graphism that fit better to coleco limitation. And give the game its own atmosphere.
CrazyBoss #34 Posted April 7, 2014 I dont think is easy to do. MSX2 have 8 sprites pr. line, and you can have 2 pixel close to each other in different color. Metalgear also might be use "software Sprites", and will be kind of hard to emulate on a CV Graphics Chip.
