Cartridges won't fit

Hi,

 

Today I got some cartridges for my 2600, but two of them won't fit my four switch or six switch woody?

Are these 2600 cartridges?

Not very familiar with these titles but I'm pretty sure Pac-Kong is a 2600 exclusive. Maybe they're oriented wrong and you have to rotate 'em 180 degrees??

According to the database, they're 2600 games.

 

To work properly, carts need the fingers that push and open the protective cover on the cart slot.

The cart slot also has fingers which do the same on the cartridge although usually only Atari made cartridges ever had them.

 

If the fingers aren't present then you'll probably have to use a small screwdriver or something to open the cover.

Yes they do have the two 'fingers'. It kinda looks like the case is a little to big.

I'll try again. They must fit somehow if they are 2600 carts...

Can you take a photo of the business end of the carts?

Well I finally got them in by using some force and jiggling them from left to right (is that english? :-))

 

They both didn't work though. I opened them up and used contact spray to clean them. Pac Kong works now, but the other one won't.

I've had carts not fit as well in a woodgrain 2600. Some Apollo carts and even a few Red Label carts were snug. The Jr and Sears Arcade 2 don't have the blast shielding around the cart port so the opening is larger, and the snug carts work fine in those.
