Buyatari #1 Posted April 10, 2014 Does anyone know the history of this item? The system is factory sealed but then the number sticker is placed under shrink wrap on top of the box. Did it leave the factory this way or did Toys R us do this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATARI-JAGUAR-SYSTEM-CYBERMORPH-NEW-SEALED-RARE-MORE-/131153634159?pt=Video_Games&hash=item1e895da36f
+save2600 #2 Posted April 10, 2014 Nope, the system never came shrinked and certainly never came with those promotional goodies. This is the work of sumguy on ePay trying to get more for something than it's really worth.
NinSEGA #3 Posted April 10, 2014 Can't make out what the hell's going on in the front of the box there.
+save2600 #4 Posted April 10, 2014 ...it's just misc. promo flyers thrown in for "added value".
sh3-rg #5 Posted April 10, 2014 ...it's just misc. promo flyers thrown in for "added value". Gotta be worth at least an extra hundred with that lovely plastic wrap, a leaflet and a bumper sticker...

Back in the mid 90s when I worked for CompUSA, we routinely would re-shrink-wrap items that were returned if everything was still included. It was really easy to do. We would simply slide it into a back, use a heated press to close it (and cut it), and then use a heat gun to shrink the bag (like you see above). I bought four Jaguar systems, from two separate stores (two from each), and none of them came shrink-wrapped.
kevincal #7 Posted April 15, 2014 I checked completed listings weeks ago and this guy is selling a bunch of these for 350. People are really stupid for paying that much. Oh well. They were never sold like this, ever. The stuff added and shrinkwrap was done well after Atari died.
