50 inch hitachi tv?

i know this is a videogame place, but i have a NONworking hitachi 50 inch tv. sound, but no picture. before it quit working, this picture looked GREAT.

the screen is 100% scratch free. when it started to go out, the picture would fade in and out vertically from the top and bottom to the middle.

 

i dont know whats wrong with it, ive looked for bad caps (didnt see any) and i resoldered something that seemed kinda loose. nothing helped.

if anyone is interested in this, let me know..if you can fix it itd be a great deal. itll be free, i just cant bear to throw it away.

i live in Dayton, OH...and its EASY to get to my place.
