Atari_Bill
As I was working through organizing my game room last night, I was comparing my 2 system III units to see which was in better shape to keep. I didn't realize that they had different keypads on their controllers. The one with the lower SN had controllers much like the original units with a gold keypad with tactile bubble type buttons for the numbers. The other unit has a back & white keypad that is more membrane and looks somewhat like the INTV II system. Are either of these more rare and sought out than the other or is this really not a big deal to most?
+cmart604
I prefer the bubble ones, although if memory serves there's actually a black bubble version. Those are my favourites.

The black bubble ones are my favorite too, I used them on my custom Sears SVA
+intvsteve
Not sure about rarity. I know the one I bought BITD had bubble keys the same as the original consoles, but black w/ silver rather than gold + brown. I think I've seen at least three different styles of keypads on INTV System III units. I can't recall if those same variations also occurred on the Super Pro system imprint as well.
