ThreepwoodMac #1 Posted April 18, 2014 I've got a box of these from Steve Morgenstern's house. Some are in plastic with hand-written labels, and some are just the microchip with a printed label sticker on it. No idea if they actually work. I've got no working Atari system to test 'em out on. Hyperboy #2 Posted April 18, 2014 If you decide to sell any of these I would be interested in a Robotron depending on price
pangasinan #3 Posted April 18, 2014 Can you post some pics ?
ianoid #4 Posted April 18, 2014 Yes they are valuable. Chip on a board stuff has the least value (less than $50), unless it has a unique ROM, which is hard to know until dumped and compared. Lab loaner label cartridges with accurate labels have the best value, somewhere between $75 and $125, sometimes a bit more these days, depending on luck. Actually if you have stuff that is just a chip, that has the least value in general unless super unique. I'd imagine those are worth less than $30 unless proven to contain interesting information. 2600 stuff is worth more than 5200 stuff in general. I was talking about 2600 stuff above. 5200 stuff is harder to sell, perhaps because for some reason there is more of it available.
Defender II #5 Posted April 19, 2014 Which Atari system are they for? 2600? 8-bit? Pictures would be helpful.

ThreepwoodMac #8 Posted May 13, 2014 Toilettunes- I will, certainly. The plastic ones are 5200 cartridges, right? Are the naked microchips too, or are they from another system?
+Mitch #9 Posted May 14, 2014 Are the naked microchips too, or are they from another system? Those are 7800 carts. I am interested in those. Mitch
toiletunes #10 Posted May 14, 2014 The plastic ones are for the 5200- I am mostly interested in Choplifter and/or Moon Patrol.

ThreepwoodMac #14 Posted May 15, 2014 Listing them seemed the fairest thing, seeing as how I got a lot of notes from people interested. Tempest #15 Posted May 15, 2014 Some analysis of the 5200 protos: Pengo - should be an early version, it's even earlier than the one I had. I'd like to see the rom for that if dumped. Moon Patrol - Early version, but dumped Choplifter - Missing the demo but other than that is the same as the final. Also dumped. Mario Bros. - ? Need a date! ThreepwoodMac #16 Posted May 15, 2014 Tempest - sorry, but what does "dumped" mean?
atari181 #17 Posted May 15, 2014 Tempest - sorry, but what does "dumped" mean? To "dump" a cart means to get the actual coding of the game. Earlier editions of games are most of the time different than the final version of a game. It is basically looking at the coding of the program.
