Issue with Philips Videopac/Magnavox Odyssey 2

Recommended Posts

I got hold of a Videopac console recently and I have been unable to get it to read any cartridges so far. I'm wondering if anybody on here knows much about this system and could help me figure out if I have a faulty system on my hands or not? Here's a picture of what shows up on the screen:

That's indeed the screen that appears when there is no cartridge inserted.

Are you sure your carts are working? Can you test one or get one that you're sure it's working?

The first thing is to clean the cart edge and cartrigde connector. The simplest way is to use some crystal vinegar on the carts edge, and plugging them multiple time in the connector without cleaning so you get some vinegar on the connections. Then you clean it, and you may get something.
