Thanks! I am using a Sears console....anyone else using a Sears and having issues? I could sometimes get the loose board to work, but never when in the shell....

 

works fine on Sears, its just how the cartridge edge connector lines up on the split power trace on the cart.

cart needs power as cart has electronics on it.

 

power to Mattel pcb (green) is via via normal trace.

 

power to collectorvision pcb (red) is via split trace, see pic.

 

this split power trace depends on the card edge shorting the two sides of the trace together. This would require super perfect alignment that sometimes does not occur.

Most likely due to the way they wanted to program the pcb, see the Sydney thread for more details. There is an easy fix and this is something that could have been designed differently, so the split power trace would have not been required.

There is an easy fix for a "glitchy" cart? If so, what is it?
