catsfolly
I think a higher vanishing point (aka. horizon line) might help make the scene look "deeper", and maybe switching the light blue to dark blue. I tried switching the light blue and dark blue. The road color clashed with the car color, so I had to change that, too. This was the result - (It's just a still frame. so don't click on it...) I think it does improve the sense of depth, and the mood of the screen... Catsfolly
catsfolly
This is my first attempt at a proper background. i haven't created any cityscape tiles yet, currently I just periodically draw a tower. The looping of the gif is imperfect, so the stars "jump" a bit when it loops. <-- click to animate. Catsfolly
GroovyBee
Its improving but the dense clusters of stars detract rather than enhance the scene in my opinion.
Rev
I agree, it seems a little busy and not necessary to the scene. I know you will get it soon! Now hury up and make a cool tron game and maybe you can include it in tron complete! HAHA just kidding.......or was I?
catsfolly
Unfortunately, it's easier to animate a row of 20 stars than a row of 10 or 5. When I get a better cityscape up, there will be less visible sky. But I'll look at thinning out the stars too.
Rev
Any more work done on this????
catsfolly
Nope. Unfortunately, recently I find that it's more fun to start new projects than it is to actually finish the old ones...

fsuinnc
Seriously! Nobody chimed in with "hey you should offer pre-release sales". (sorry, I am actually not in the hater camp, but I saw the opening and just had to go there. truly meant as joke.)
First Spear
Here is a candidate for a background music track for this: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/254868-intybasic-rough-song-night-riding/?p=3552619 I tried switching the light blue and dark blue. The road color clashed with the car color, so I had to change that, too. This was the result - shot0011.gif (It's just a still frame. so don't click on it...)
