RetroFiends #1 Posted April 24, 2014 Sometimes when I'm programming Atari, I like to set a certain "atmosphere." Atari 2600 games running in the background helps my programming feng shui. What Atari 2600 games do you know that have exceptional demos? Right now, my go to game is Pac-Man 4k.
kamakazi #2 Posted April 26, 2014 Ms. Pac-Man has a decent demo run. Jr. Pac-Man always seems to run. Jungle Hunt goes through every level of the game. While it's not on the 2600, Tempest on the 5200 has a really good demo. As for exceptional demos Tempest would be my go-to game. I can't think of any more 2600 demos that are "out of this world" at the moment.

strudders #5 Posted April 28, 2014 As I was reviewing it for Ferg's 'Atari 2600 Game by Game Podcast' I noticed that Skate Boardin' has a nice demo mode where the guy rides around a bit.

Unbeliever #10 Posted May 2, 2014 Was it the later run of Asteroids carts that had the copyright notice before the game demo started?
