Gunstar #1 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) I have a perfectly working Apple IIc system that I am looking to trade or sell. It includes everything pictured below (monitor optional) : Apple IIc & power pack (w/built in 5.25" floppy drive), second disk drive, Apple IIe/c joystick, Apple Stylewriter printer. All necessary cables. For Sale @ $175 including everything above, with or without the monitor, either way $175, monitor included for free but consider added shipping costs if included. For Trade: I'm looking for stuff below, but if you have anything for trade, let me know, I may be interested; I am looking for: Atari 800 system w/810, Atari 1200XL system w/1050, Atari 130XE system w/XF551, Atari STe/Mega STe system, Commodore 64/C64/C128 computer system W/drive, Commodore Amiga system, Atari 7800 system & games, Bally Astrocade system and games, Sega Genesis/CD/32X system and games, Sega Dreamcast system and games, Sega Saturn system and games,Tandy Coco III system w/drive, TI 99/4A system w/drive. Besides any of these systems, I would also be interested in Atari 8-bit or Jaguar accessories such as for A8; MyIDE, Sparta DOS X 4.x cart, Atari 8-bit SD card reader, Side cart, Ultimate 1MB upgrade, VBXE and for Jaguar a Skunkboard, and games like Skyhammer, Towers II, Zero 5, Doom, Fight for Life, Phase Zero, Brett Hull hockey (cart), Catbox, Scatbox and many other commone jag games. We can discuss variations or combinations . Consoles with all cables, power-packs, controller and some games. What ever we agree is of equal value to us. I want an 800 system the most, but any of the above would be cool possibilities. I'm also interested in Sinclair QL and Spectrum 128 systems, but I'm not sure how feasible those trades would be with NTSC/PAL and shipping internationally. Did Sinclair's get released in Canada with NTSC versions? Edited May 7, 2014 by Gunstar
Osgeld #2 Posted May 3, 2014 good machine, though I already have one as my baby, if I had stuff to trade I would take you up, grab the parts I want / need and find a good home for the rest but I dont
Gunstar #3 Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) I will also entertain selling the system, I just thought it might be easier to trade out right since I would use the money to buy another system as I listed, etc. and generally both parties can get better deals in a trade, IMHO. And also thought I might interest more people as a trade. But anyone can make an offer to buy the Apple IIc system, with or without the monitor (keep in mind shipping costs when it comes to the monitor, it's just a one RCA jack composite and nothing special) Edited May 3, 2014 by Gunstar
Tempest #4 Posted May 3, 2014 I thought apple IIe/IIc composite monitors had some sort of special 80 column mode or support in them?
potatohead #5 Posted May 3, 2014 They generally are just composite monitors. The better ones have a finer shadow mask dot pitch, which helps a lot with monochrome 80 column text. Another common thing, and what I'm doing right now, is just run both. Setup two screens and view text on a monochrome screen and graphics / color on the color screen, whatever that is. I'm using an 80's era TV with a pretty fine shadow mask. Some of those were made. One of these days, I'll have to connect the Apple to an HDTV. The signal processors in those might do really well, or really poorly. I find the Atari machines look pretty great in NTSC. So does my CoCo 3.
Gunstar #6 Posted May 5, 2014 I've updated things I'm looking to trade for in the first post: Atari 8-bit and Jaguar accessories.
Gunstar #7 Posted May 6, 2014 Well, I thought I had someone to trade with, they PM'd me, telling me they had some of the stuff on my list, I responded wanting to know more, and they've ignored my responses (records indicate they received and read my responses). So, to help entice people who may be interested in my IIc system, but don't want to buy and may not have any of the things I listed for trade, I am now opening up to all trade possibilities. There are lots of things I'd like, some I may not have even thought of, so PM me with whatever stuff you have to trade and we'll see if I'm interested. The only thing I ask is a fair trade for stuff of approximate equal value. So what do you have to trade for this great IIc system that I personally have little interest in? Gunstar #8 Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) I've added an actual price for IIc system- $175 plus shipping; details in first post. A real bargain compared to similar system prices on eBay. Still up for trade also, more specifics in what I expect in a trade for another computer system, but as stated in first post, it's all up for discussion and bargaining (for trade). Tempest #9 Posted May 7, 2014 This is a good deal. IIcs are really becoming collectible. If I didn't have a IIe already I'd be all over this.
LaXDragon #10 Posted May 7, 2014 Lov'n the IIc. I recently re-hooked mine back up to play with using it as a serial console on my Linux box. I wish that Apple sold the 9" CRT that matches up with the IIc in color. I can't fit the bigger monitors on desk shelf.
