Really jarred the old memory here....I loved my Vectrex. (I owned a couple through the years)

 

Whats that game where you play the little dude hopping aorund on ladders? I believe you are supposed to rescue someone from a cage. (?)

 

Wasn't aware that Vectrex homebrews existed - thanks! :)

That would be Spike. It had a purple overlay.

 

There are more homebrew games than there were original games, in fact there are more homebrew games in development right now than there were original games.

 

Gravitrex Plus, Thrust and Protector are considered to be some of the best homebrew games made for the system plus Birds of Prey off Vecmania is one of my personal favorites.

John Dondzila's games are great! But Protector and VectorPilot are tops.

Spike's Circus is another title I really like for its complexity and overall game quality. Similar to VectorPilot, Spike's Circus has that overall sooth feel. Plus an excellent sense of physics that really shows off the polish of the game.
