treetsux #1 Posted March 14, 2003 the last 2 auctions that ive had, the buyers have not left ANY feedback. BOTH times i had great communication with them, fast emails, thanks, all of that. i watched the ups tracking number, and as soon as it was delivered, the buyers both disappeared like a fart in the wind. its not THAT hard to leave feedback, and neither time did they express dissatisfaction, and i have no reason to even think they would be unhappy. it bugs me, cuz i left them feedback as soon as i got their money is this a big problem for anyone else? lonesome_pa #2 Posted March 14, 2003 I think every seller/buyer has had at LEAST 1 were no feedback is given. Although it is a courtesy, unfortunately, it's not required.
Ed Siegler #3 Posted March 14, 2003 I get that too. As a seller, like you, I believe that when a buyer pays you, it's jor job to leave the feedback right away. He's done his job, post feedback. I find it upsetting that when a buyer receives the item and has already have positive feedback left for him, but does not leave it for you. I generally "nudge" the buyer by sending an email like "Hey, did you receive it" or "Hey, are you satisfied" and both are followed up with the statement like please leave positive feedback and a link to the auction. That way, they have minimal work to do to leave you feedback. I tend to get good results with this.
Happy_Dude #4 Posted March 14, 2003 Don't leave feedback as soon as you get their money. If the post office fucks up you have no way to counter a negitive feedback from the buyer. (retaliate is such a strong word ) Don't leave feedback until they do. and mention it in the first email. Can you still contact them? Ask them to leave feedback or if there was any problems. Lost Monkey #5 Posted March 14, 2003 Don't feel so bad: http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...r-x-ii&items=25 If you get 60% of the people you deal with (as a seller) to leave feedback, you are doing all right... right now I am leaving about 800 a month and receiving about 500... As a buyer the ratio should be higher...
Keir #6 Posted March 14, 2003 I leave feedback everytime I have a good transaction. If I don't leave feedback it's because: A) I wasn't completely satisfied but didn't want to leave a neutral (which is almost as bad as a negative, IMO) or B) I waited over 90 days to receive the item(s) I bought As for sellers waiting to leave feedback, I can't be bothered with that. Once the buyer pays, their end of the deal is done so I leave feedback. Though in general, I've stopped selling on eBay. I find that the forums here and at Digital Press work best. bcprs1 #7 Posted March 15, 2003 I find that a lot of people do their feedback in bunches. I have received feedback months after the auction has ended. I think it is hard for people who do a lot of business on ebay to keep up with it. I know that if I was selling 100+ items a week, I would find it very time consuming to post feedback all the time. treetsux #8 Posted March 15, 2003 If I don't leave feedback it's because: A) I wasn't completely satisfied but didn't want to leave a neutral (which is almost as bad as a negative, IMO) thats why i dont want to email them and ask them for feedback. i honestly dont feel like i was misleading or anything, but you never know, some people can be asses. i know for sure one buyer had NO feedback, so im writing him off as a newbie, and the other person only had like a 3 so i think im gonna write him off as a newbie as well
