1982's Atari 2600 game Haunted House is making comeback. Atari announced today that a new version of the game is available now for iOS devices through iTunes.

Yup, Atari released it the other day on iPhone. IMO they're trying to cash in on a classic game. But I don't know.. maybe they have George Lucas Syndrome and this is the Haunted House they wanted to make.

The game shown in the article has nothing meaningfully to do with the Haunted House we know, and it has the same cookie-cutter cartoony style of most other mobile games.

 

We'll still be playing the original long after this "remake" fades into oblivion, just like most of the other attempted "remakes" we've seen.
