ACML
There is a store called WierdStuff in Sunnvale, just arounf the corned from Borregas Avenue. They carry old retro computer stuff. Anyone been there lately and do they have any Atari stuff?
ApolloBoy
I pop in there once in a while, and most of the time I haven't found much of anything A8-wise. They'll have various classic computer stuff every now and then (came across a ZX81 with a printer and various tapes last time I was there) but I don't think I've ever found an A8 computer. I saw some carts, an occasional 850 interface and an 825 printer but nothing else. Edited May 23, 2014 by ApolloBoy
Lynxpro
I know ApolloBoy is going to the Sunnyvale Atari Party but are you, ACML? Does the store have a website?
ApolloBoy
Does the store have a website? It does, but what they have on their online store doesn't reflect in any way what they actually have. For a lot of the vintage stuff, you actually have to ask permission to go into the back of the warehouse, and even then you're restricted to one part of it and you can only ask permission on weekdays. Really? That's messed up. I used to go there regularly when I lived in the Bay Area, and occasionally would find a neat 8-bit item. Sounds like they've changed a bit in the age of eBay, though. Timing is everything, but sadly no, I'll be in the Bay area this week. I might have to stop by just to see what can be had. If nothing else, kill a little time. +skr
I´ve been there in March and the only Atari related thing I saw was the 2600 at the entrance. But that one was not for sale. But I have to admit that I did not ask them for stuff.
X900BattleGrape
They sometimes to, but like any of their 80's computers/consoles it's hit or miss. One time when I was there an employee told me that their building is actually either Atari's original HQ or a warehouse for Atari from way way back. Unsure if that's true. ACML
Sadly on my trip to Wierdstuff late last month, the only Atari item I saw was a 2600 (not for sale). Looked around a bit, but to my surprise, nothing I couldn't live without.
