collapsed #1 Posted June 4, 2014 Hi all, I'm trying to find an old coin-op that I used to play around 1995. The closest game I can find is "Collape", but I'm not sure if that's the game I'm after. What I can remember is: Tetris style blocks would drop from the top of the screen, and when you had a line of 4 or more of the same colour block they would blow up and let whatever was on top fall down. There were also "bomb" blocks, which if I remember rightly were used as "wild-cards" so you could complete a line of blocks of any colour. I'm pretty sure the screen was split in half vertically so a second player could play at the same time. Is it Collapse I'm looking for, or something like it? Does anyone know if it (or something similar) is available for PC? Thanks for any help!
xDragonWarrior #2 Posted June 6, 2014 I dunno if this will help but it is certainly a lead:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_puzzle_video_games
collapsed #3 Posted June 6, 2014 Thanks Dragon. Had a look at the list, but can't find what I'm looking for. It's not Collapse either. In collapse the blocks don't fall from the top, according to what I've read.
ghsqb #4 Posted June 6, 2014 I'm not sure of a coin-op that fits that description, but there is an XBox360 game (maybe for other platforms also) called Poker Smash that fits your description pretty well.
collapsed #5 Posted June 8, 2014 Apreciate the info ghsqb. Gave it a go (it's available for PC), but not sure how the controls work on it - I think it wants an XBox controller. Anyway, it seems a little complex. What I liked about the game I'm looking for is that it was simple and intuative, just like Tetris, and you could just start playing without having to think about anything.
