Joystick Lamp from a CX-40

I couldn't sleep last night, so I built myself one of these:

Don't worry, it had a bad board, a cracked joystick, and was missing the firing spring... didn't feel like the trouble of fixing everything, so I repurposed it.

I hooked up the fire button to turn it on/off, which I'm pretty proud of. Just had to brag/share!

Next time you build one, are you going to see about having the fire button turn on the power? That'd be neat, too!

Its not a pair of lamps, it is two pictures of the same lamp turned on and off hence the "duplicate books". And he says he wired the power switch to the fire button already.

 

Very nice indeed. It is baffling that no company has done this earlier as retro stuff is all the rage these dags
