eebuckeye #1 Posted June 9, 2014 I was lucky enough to find a Commodore 128D in great condition. I tested everything and it works great EXCEPT four keys on the keyboard do not work. I believe they are 5, 6, R and T. UGH!? Any idea how I might fix this? Thank you!

Uzumaki #3 Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) Looking at the keyboard schematic, column 18 deals with 4 of those keys. If C, F, and X are working, I'd guess there's a break in the circuit trace between F and R/T key. If the C, F, and X are not working, I'd look at the wire connecting to the keyboard circuit. http://personalpages.tds.net/~rcarlsen/cbm/c128dcr/keyboard%20open.jpg shows what it looks like. Maybe something got spilled in at one time and the spilled fluid has eaten through the trace? Taking it apart is a whole lotta screws though.
