Prosystemsearch
I noticed this on the forums. Why are they absent?? The Atari ST deserves to have a high score club just like the 5200, 2600, 7800, and other atari machines.
yarjr
My guess would be because very few people actually own one. Interesting observation though.
Prosystemsearch
My guess would be because very few people actually own one. Interesting observation though. Even fewer people own a 5200 supersystem than an ST, and the former has had both a HSC and a programmer's subforum for YEARS!! Why Albert, WHY?? GroovyBee
ST/STE and Falcon users hang out here in droves :- http://www.atari-forum.com
Prosystemsearch
I would not bet on that. AT BEST, the Atari 5200 sold only 1.5 million units. The STs sold substantially more than that when all models are combined together. Edited June 22, 2014 by Prosystemsearch
Thibr
No ST high score club : maybe because there are some ST Offline Tournaments for Midi Maze and many other games. Note that you can also grab friends and play Gauntlet2/Kickoff2 (up to 4 players) and Dynabusters (up to 6 players) on a STE computer. Add 3 jumbo pizzas and a bunch of beer then you're done ! No ST programming sub-form : you're right that's rather surprising. Many atarians still program games and utilities under Pure C, ASM68k and even GFA basic. A dedicated sub-foum would be nice ...
