jeffbab #1 Posted June 28, 2014 Has anyone ever seen a composite av switch that has at least 10 inputs? Ideally one with 16 would be nice. Passive / mechanical is ok too. I have an 8 port now but I already have it filled up. I know I could daisy chain two 8 ports together, but I was hoping not to have to, as I am worried it might degrade the signal further. If no such device exists, how badly will daisy chaining 2 together hurt the signal?
TaskenLander #2 Posted June 30, 2014 If its composite, I can't imagine the signal being downgraded to any notifiable degree.
Bodyshots #3 Posted July 1, 2014 16's exist but very costly. Your best bet may be to go with 2 of these. 8 in, 2 out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-AV-Audio-Video-switch-selector-8-in-2-out-/160449148604?pt=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item255b83b6bc I use 1 of these, and then I have a 4 in 1 out that I can switch to for s-video. This is your cheap option anyways. If you want something more current for your retro systems, then Google "Composite Video Switch 10 pictures" or "Composite Video Switch 16 pictures" Click on the picture you want to enlarge and then to the right of the picture click "Visit Page" A lot of options. jeffbab #4 Posted July 1, 2014 Thanks guys, I will probably daisy chain a couple together for now. Once I free up some more cash I think I might start to switch some of my consoles (the ones that can handle it) over to RGB scart, then run them through a scart switcher and into either a scart to component or a scart to HDMI converter. That way it will free up more inputs on my composite switcher.
