What is your favorite Atari Combination (Setup)?

Recommended Posts

Or plural if you have more than one "favorite!"

Mine (this week, at least!):

1. 800XL with XL14 accelerator, Turbo Freezer, MyIDE-][, and MyDos.

2. 800XL with XL14 accelerator (with Rambo memory), IDE+2, and MyDos.

-Larry

edit: I should add since others have -- APE (usb) is ever-present on any setup I use.

Shared first place:

Standard 800XL, Turbo Freezer 2011, MyIDE ][, XDOS + The!CART

Standard 800XL, Turbo Freezer 2011, IDE+, XDOS + The!CART

Can live very well with both setups.

The XL14 is an internal enhancement that is still in development. It is a 65816 that runs at a clock speed of 1.79mhz, 7.16mhz, or 14.32mhz. It has 256K of RAMBO memory or 128K of XE memory and 384K of 65816 linear memory ($010000-$06FFFF).

That clock working?

Yes it does! I had to get an upgraded firmware chip for it so it would work past the year 2000.

Fibrewire,

What is that book that is to the right on the desk? 'Atari Software?' Can you get a pic of the cover?

@fibrewire-

I'm declaring you the "winner" on the basis of size and mass of your setup! ;)

But seriously, that is some great retro setup!

BTW, what dos does your Corvus use? If Dos 2.0d, how is it partitioned?
