+cmart604 #251 Posted September 10, 2014 About to start loading up the car (ugh!)... Just think how fun it'll be once you've unloaded everything
+cmart604 #252 Posted September 10, 2014 Suggestions? Anyone... Anyone... Anyone... Bueller... Bueller...??? Let's figure it out today so we can get reservations. Well since Lathe is on the ground already, maybe he can ask the folks at the Riviera for some suggestions. Is there a Buca Di Beppo in Vegas? Not going to win any culinary awards but it's good for large groups
+SoulBuster #253 Posted September 10, 2014 I load up the car beginning tonight. The Peppermill was also Suggested.

+nurmix #256 Posted September 11, 2014 Got here. Checked in with my RGR buddies (expo hall is HUGE). Made it to the room. Whew! Not a bad drive this time actually. From Los Angeles, it can be anywhere from 4-8 hours, depending on when you go and how much traffic there is. I made it in about 4.5 today.

+Lathe26 #259 Posted September 11, 2014 There is a Buca di Beppo, however it is at the opposite end of the monorail line. If we tried to go there, it would be well after 8pm which gets a little impractical unfortunately. I haven't checked any place out for capacity, but Peppermill is next door to the Riviera and R Steakhouse is in the Riviera. We're likely to be getting hungry after the 6pm end-of-Friday for CGE, followed by stashing our loot. We should stay close to the Riviera for time constraints and for simplicity for the first time Las Vegas folks.

Atari_Bill #261 Posted September 11, 2014 Arriving around 6 PM local time. I'm sure it will be around 8 by the time I get to the room drop everything. Anyone meeting tonight at a lounge in the hotel possibly. I know I'm not going to have a ton of energy since I just got up at 5:20 Eastern time, but I'd stop down for a drink if anyone's up for it. It is as close as you can get and it must be there for a reason. Hopefully good food and drinks!

+intvsteve #269 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Does anyone know if there is shuttle service from the airport to the Riviera? Free? Take a cab? From what I've heard, there are shuttles. Not sure if they cycle through all day or what... Guess I'll wing it when I get there. SuperShuttle is $11.00 I think. Cab may run about 2x that, but it's a total guess. +Lathe26 #270 Posted September 11, 2014 Take a shuttle for $9 or $14. My taxi cost $35 (without the tip).
