+cmart604
With all this beer talk (smack talk) between USA and Canada I'm wondering if the CGE footage is going to be enough for a Intellidrunkaries episode I'm counting on you to find me beer that I will enjoy. Atari_Bill
Definitely worth seeing. Back on topic, what are we all planning on buying at CGE? It depends. I have no idea what to expect in the way of items for sale. 10+ years ago when I last attended, I picked up quite a few nice rarities to fill holes. Of course what I considered rare then compared to now has vastly changed. I'm hoping the vendors will have some decent stock that will allow me to still pick up and fill holes for various systems. I'll be slightly disappointed if the offerings are nothing but homebrews and new releases.
+nurmix
Intellivisionaries CGE update: So I can't reveal all the details yet, but make sure you guys sign up for the "IQ" tournament (Intellivision Quotient) at our booth. This will be an elimination and Q&A competition that will test your Intellivision knowledge and gaming skills (2 player and 1 player games, and trivia questions). We'll have some great prizes too, and a special guest, Tommy Tallarico!

+Lathe26
If only I could take my extra Videoplexer on the plane I could offer up another prize. Extra Videoplexer? Have you tried plugging a Videoplexer into another Videoplexer to see if it will work? You might have to do it in only the first slot or two (the Videoplexer manual says something about those being special for Intellivoice games). +Lathe26
... So far looks like the 12th or 13th are best days for all of use to meet up somewhere. Friday evening works best for me. I'd be ok with meeting at 6:30pm or 7:00pm. The main vendor floor closes at 6pm on Friday so adding an extra 1/2 hour or 1 hour for people to stash their loot, freshen up, and meet up will likely work best. Saturday evening is more difficult. I promised my wife some time together and other AA folks might be going to the CGE auction that night (auction items haven't been announced yet). I mainly mention "freshen up" because we just had the PAX gaming convention here in Seattle. I didn't go, but some of my friends said that some attendees had very power odors. One geeky woman I know described "nerd funk" so bad that she was unwilling to use the bean bag chairs after the first day. I suspect that most of us are fine in this regard, but sometimes you get stuck standing 10 minutes next to that one guy ...

CGE Badges for the Intellivision Forum I going to make some CGE badges for the Intellivision folks in this forum. These will be done for free. The idea is that while we know each other as Lathe26 with a chimp's face or as Cmart604 with a Pacman-ish logo, some of us have no idea what we look or sound like in real life. When we meet, we'll find out we have names like Bill and Jack but will have a hard time keeping track of who in real life is who online. I figure some badges will help everyone associate each real life face with their online persona. For example, this is Cmart604 online: ... and this is him in real life, see the difference? What will it look like? It is still being designed, but it will be a very, very simple design. Basically, it will have your AA image, your AA name in large typeface, perhaps some text about CGE 2014 and/or Intellivision, and not much else. I'm not planning to include real names. How do I get on the list? Just post in this topic to get on SoulBuster's official list of attendees. If you're already on SoulBuster's list, you have nothing to do. If you're not comfortable publicly posting that you are going, just PM me privately. Deadline is end-of-day Wednesday, September 3rd (Pacific timezone) to be included. How do I get my badge? That is still being determined. Hopefully, there is a vendor who will volunteer to hand them out during CGE on Friday. (Hey vendors, think of the extra foot-traffic this might bring.) You will have to ask for yours by AA name since we don't want them on the table available for 5-finger discounts. Alternatively, maybe I'll just hand them out when the Intellivision folks meet up (Friday evening?). Note: there is no obligation to wear the badge or even to pick it up. If you really hate the idea, just PM me and I'll not make yours.

If most of us will be there when the Expo opens hopefully one of the booths that are booked could help us out and we could pick them up there.
