Star Raiders Issues In Emulation (5200)

I have been having issues bringing up the star map on Star Raiders. I press 4 on the keyboard and it comes up for a split second but won't stay on. So I can not move from sector to sector because of this. Can anyone tell me why the star map will not stay up?

True, I have problems with the keypad response using Kat5200 but no problems with other games. but then again, I'm more used to the keypresses on the 8-bit even after all these years...
