Look on eBay. $700 plus for the ghost edition. Those are bids no less. Freaking nuts. The day I spend half a grand more on a game just for a statue is the day I don't want to be in this green earth anymore haha.

Even more insane is the Uncharted 2: Fortune Hunter Edition. I think that knife is going for thousands of dollars. I don't know for sure these days but its crazy. LOL

Up until the ps3/360 generation I was quite weak against the cheap toy editions. However at the same time there's a limit to how much I'd bother paying for it. If it goes too high, I'll get a regular edition or wait for more to be produced.

I am a sucker for certain Collectors Edition or Limited Edition goodies. A Halo or CoD or Assassins Creed LE/ CE doesn't faze me in the least. But something from Nintendo, like the MK8 Blue Shell LE, or some of the Alien LE/CE's that were put together I want.

 

The best collections, IMO, were anything released by Working Designs. Man, they put together some great Lunar sets for the PS.

I'm a big Bungie fan and got the LE edition for the XB1. I ordered mine the first day it was available. I wish I would have got a Ghost edition as well, just to sell. I still have my Halo 3 and Halo Reach Legendary editions.

Legendary edition is just fine for me. As much as I want the ghost edition, realistically I don't have the space for that huge box or the statue for that matter. So it all worked out haha.

 

Either way, this week has been hard without it. Going to be a loooong month.

Agreed. I remember them saying back in the day that they hoped that kind of packaging for games would eventually become the "standard". And I hoped they were right but as we can see it seems it went in the other direction to the point where often times we'll get little more than an insert for an instruction manual and rarely the completed game.
