Is this rare?

I recently won this on Ebay I had never seen one before. So i was curious if it is rare and what it was used for. A traveling Intellivision salesman?

I watched that auction pretty closely and thought about making a play for it. I even looked up the case going back within the forums to get a little more detail. In the end it just went for more than I was willing to part with at the moment. The system appeared to be broken and the games weren't of any interest so it was just the case being bid on. I believe the keys were missing on the locks as well. All in all a pretty cool piece that I would still have liked to had. Just too much money in other locations at the moment. Congrats! Enjoy it.

Yah the carrying case is quite rare. I'm not sure I've even seen ten of them, certainly less than 20. There is one in the underground lair though.

I have a carrying case with the original key. Just wondering if anyone else has a key as well.
